Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and members of the community who to wish to share your land-based skills and knowledge, join us at SGEI’s Rainy Lake Campus on July 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to connect with learners who want to gain new skills.
Teachers will talk about the knowledge and skills they wish to share, and how they came to acquire them.
There will also be an information session at SGEI’s Rainy Lake Campus on June 26 at 1 p.m. for anyone with further questions. Feel free to come early and join us for lunch!
Any teachers who are interested in being part of this event, and Waking Up Ojibwe’s Gidakiiminaan Gagiikwewinan (Land-Based Program) in the future, will be offered honourariums.
Interested teachers can email Ellie Petsnick at elliep@7generations.org
This event aims to integrate knowledge into outdoor activities and programs and create long-term partnerships beyond this gathering.
