Welding Foundations Training
This training runs from July 27 to September 4, 2026, at the Rainy Lake Campus and Fort Frances High School welding shop.
This six-week entry-level program fosters a supportive learning community where participants can build foundational skills in welding. Through shared hands-on practice, safety training, and guided theory, participants develop confidence in welding processes, blueprint reading, tool use, and trade calculations. Learners explore welding theory, joint design, weld symbols, and material quality assessment while building connections that strengthen their path into the welding field.

Open to everyone.
Program cost
$5,000 or FREE for eligible participants.
Tuition funding may be available for unemployed individuals 18 and up. Funding for training allowances may be available for Indigenous youth ages 18-30. Please reach out to the contact below to see if you qualify.
