Mining Foundations Training Program

This six-week Ontario-approved Micro-credential program aims to prepare participants for entry-level positions in the mining industry while providing a fundamental understanding of the mining process. Participants will acquire essential knowledge about the mining life cycle, safety practices, site equipment, and workplace expectations. 

Classes run from October 13 to November 21, 2025, Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. 

Open to Indigenous youth ages 18-30, living on-reserve and receiving income assistance. Qualified participants will also receive a training allowance.
