Secondary and Azhemiinigoziwin (AZH) students

If you are an SGEI secondary or AZH student, no registration is required. Your teacher will notify the graduation committee of your graduation status. 

Post-secondary students 

Please use the link below to register for the graduation ceremony. Post-Secondary graduates, please register no later than April 21, 2025 so SGEI can order your gown and grad gift.

Invited Dignitaries and SGEI Instructors

If you are an invited dignitary or an SGEI post-secondary instructor, please RSVP using the link below. Note: SGEI staff members do not need to RSVP to attend grad.

Ceremony details

  • Who: Secondary, Post-Secondary, and AZH students along with their invited guests. Students are welcome to bring up to four guests.
  • What: 2025 Graduation Ceremony followed by a catered sit-down dinner.
  • Where: Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre, Ice for Kids arena, 740 Scott Street, Fort Frances, ON.
  • When: 3:30 p.m. CDT. Grads, please arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. to line up.

Graduation portraits and gowns

Portraits

A photographer will be available on-site from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 4, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the day of graduation (June 5). Students must book their private portrait sessions ahead of time and will be responsible for purchasing their own graduation portraits.

Book graduation portraits

Gowns

Graduates are welcome to pick up their grad gowns starting at 8 a.m. on graduation day. Students can pick up their gowns at the Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre. Graduates can leave with their gowns to take photos or for their portrait appointments.

Gown returns

All graduation gowns must be returned following the graduation ceremony.
