Program Overview

Counsellors with training in mental health and addictions are highly sought-after. This program will prepare you for employment in this meaningful, in-demand field.
You will train to work in mental health and addiction-specific settings including a broad spectrum of social and health agencies.
Learn in class, in the field and through independent learning under the skilled instruction of our professors. The College collaborates with agencies across the province and has strong partnerships with local institutions.

Other Requirements:

If you have been convicted of an offence under the Criminal Code for which you have not been pardoned, you may be ineligible for field placement. A current police background check and/or vulnerable sector screen may be required and can be obtained from the police department upon payment of a fee; all associated costs will be the responsibility of the student. Students may require a Standard First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate to be eligible for some field placements. All associated costs are the responsibility of the student.
