SUMMARY:Internet Service Technician Training
DESCRIPTION:This training runs from September 8 to October 2\, 2026\, at SGEI’s Rainy Lake Campus. \nProgram description\nThis program prepares Treaty #3 Citizens for careers as Internet Service Technicians – the people who install and maintain the fibre optic networks that connect homes and businesses to reliable internet service in our communities. Participants will learn how fibre networks work\, how to install and connect cables\, how to set up internet equipment\, and how to troubleshoot common connection issues. This hands-on training takes place outdoors in local communities\, where technicians connect homes to fibre networks. Opportunities are available within Treaty #3 territory and may require travel\, with additional placements potentially available outside the territory. Participants may apply for placements that align with their interests and career goals. \n\n\nDelivery\nIn-person \n\n\nProgram details and cost \nFREE for individuals aged 18-30.
