SUMMARY:Women in Wildfire Engagement Session
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an empowering and informative evening designed specifically for women interested in learning more about wildfire work and the upcoming MNR SP100 Wildland Firefighter Training Course happening April 20-24\, 2026\, at SGEI’s Rainy Lake Campus. \nSGEI is partnering with the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) for this event. The MNR will be in attendance to provide information\, materials\, and equipment on their end. It will take place in the Rainy Lake Campus atrium. \nThere will also be light snacks and refreshments available. \nNo need to register\, but we ask participants to show up before the 5:30 p.m. start time. \nEligibility\nThis event is open to anyone who identifies as a woman and wants to explore opportunities in wildfire\, connect with others\, and build confidence in taking the next step. \nSample agenda \n\nWelcome/opening\nWhat is SP100?\nWomen in Fire panel\nBarriers discussions\nPhysical readiness session (short fitness readiness overview\, view the gear\, try on the pack\, see the fire hoses\, etc.)\nNext steps (applications\, questions\, etc.)
