Sewing Club: Sewing 101

Join us Wednesdays at the Fort Frances and Kenora campus Makerspaces for our weekly Sewing Club from 12-3 pm and 4-7 pm! Learn how to sew, work on an independent sewing project, or follow along with this week’s sewing challenge. All materials, including a sewing machine, are provided by SGEI.  

This week’s sewing club workshop is:  

  • (Feb. 7th) Sewing 101 – Learn how to sew! Learn how to sew and make some simple drawstring bags!  
  • (Feb. 14th) Valentine’s Day Pillow and Trivet. Sew something lovely for your loved ones this week with a heart-shaped pillow or potholder!  
  • (Feb. 21st) Coffee Cozies. Keep your coffee warm with an easy to sew coffee cozy!  
  • (Feb. 28th) Phone Charging Station. Need a place to hang your phone while charging? Make a fun and cute charging station with fabric!  

This event is free and open to everyone. No registration is required, just drop in. Please note that spots and supplies are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, contact our Makerspace Assistants:
