Safe Start New Driver Training Program

Classes run May 6, 7, 13 & 14 from 9 am to 2:30 

The SafeStart New Driver Training program teaches new G1 licensed drivers using a blend of interactive classroom learning and one-on-one in-vehicle training. Program graduates are eligible to take their G2 road test 8 months after receiving their G1 learner’s permit instead of 12. • Program breakdown:
  • In-Class: 20 hours of in-class theory complemented by hands-on simulation
  • HomeLink: 10 hours of online interactive learning modules
  • In-Vehicle: 10 hours of private in-vehicle learning
• Delivery: in-person and online
• Cost: $1495 (Cost of G2 test not included)
• Eligibility: Open to everyone age 16 and up. Participants must have their G1 learner’s permit.
