Dagwaagani-mawindoosijigewin: Fall Harvest

Please note that this is an invite-only event organized for select grade 5 and 10 history and civics classes. All SGEI students are welcome.

Every fall near the Signing of the Treaty Day (October 3rd), Seven Generations Education Institute (SGEI) hosts an immersive two-day cultural experience that demonstrates Anishinaabe fall harvesting practices to students from participating schools. Dagwaagani-mawindoosijigewin (fall harvest) is a unique opportunity for students to learn about Treaty #3 and food sovereignty and participate in traditional practices.
