ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or its equivalent is the basic requirement for admission to Sault College.
Applicants who do not possess and OSSD but who will be 19 years of age before the date of registration, and can demonstrate potential for success in college studies, may be admitted as mature applicants.
The Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention program is part time and will develop skills and knowledge of those seeking to work in the Human Service field or is presently working in a related field. Through the study of theory and research, students will gain skills related to counseling and addictions. Culturally relevant materials and methodologies are incorporated into the program. Students will also complete a practicum in which their skills will be implemented.
All of the credits offered are recognized by the Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology. A graduate of this program may transfer to the Community Mental Health Diploma program, Native Community Worker Child & Family Worker or the Community Economic Development Worker programs with advanced standing.
