Project Sunset Youth Engagement Coordinator
Job Summary
The Project Sunset Youth Engagement Coordinator supports meaningful and effective youth engagement in Sioux Mountain School of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, by providing youth opportunities to develop skills and take collective action for renewal and change, using a proven, experiential learning curriculum.

Job Qualifications:
• A degree/diploma in Health Sciences/Social Sciences or equivalent, or a combination of related experience and training.
• Experience working with and engaging youth ages 10-14.
• Experience in an administrative or managerial capacity with an organization that provides direct services to youth.
• Project management experience is an asset.
• Experience facilitating diverse groups and interests, including conflict mediation and resolution skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of authentic youth engagement principles.
• Experience in developing and maintaining a network with the community, youth agencies and other stakeholders.
• Experience and/or understanding of the development of educational programs in non-profit or k-12 settings.
• Event planning experience an asset.
• Experience in a computerized environment with a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Office as well as graphics and database applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster effective relationships with young people.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
