Seven Generations Education Institute provides students in the Treaty Three territory with self-paced secondary programming as an alternative to the public school system. Secondary School students graduate with their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). SGEI facilitates guided in-class learning in 12 locations throughout Treaty Three. Who Can Participate?
High school aged individuals living on-reserve are eligible to pursue their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with Seven Generations Education Institute.
Are you an adult (18 years or older) that has been out of high school for at least two years, living in Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Ignace or Pickle Lake? You may be eligible for our Adult Education Program.

In order to graduate with your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), Secondary Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits including 18 compulsory credits.

If you have completed secondary school courses prior to coming to Seven Generations Education Institute, you may be eligible for transfer credits.
Mature students with the minimum eligibility requirements may pursue the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) evaluation in order to apply knowledge and skills gained outside of secondary school to their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
