Pre-Health Sciences

Program Overview
Obtain the knowledge you need to make an informed program choice, and the necessary skills and prerequisites to start your academic career in the health sector. This program will prepare you for further college studies or your future career in the health sciences sector. Graduates of this program are prepared to meet the eligibility requirements for a number of Canadore College programs including: Practical Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Respiratory Therapy, Biotechnology Technologist, Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant, and Environment Technician – Protection and Compliance (Please note: that certain programs will require a minimum program GPA or minimum grades in specific courses).

Admission Requirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma at or above the general level or its equivalent. Grade 12 or equivalent is required & ENG4C or 4U. Grade 12 or equivalent, GED transcript with a Pass in English

Mature Student:
Applicants aged 19 or over without the OSSD will be considered on the basis of their results on the College’s Mature Student Test. If you are a mature student, please contact Don Eldridge (807-274-2796) Fort Frances Campus to arrange to write the MST.
